YES!!! I recently saw these insane designs by Raquel Allegra. She goes in LA’s county jails, and scoops up old used Tshirts worn in the county jail, and stretches the material, cuts it and saws it until an outfit is made out of these pieces. How original and unusual.

Cool Wall Clocks
I have been looking for a cool wall clock for quite sometime now. I wanted one for my room and one to give as a gift to my friend who loves clocks. He actually collects them. I found some interesting, funky, cool clocks while browsing.

Its form is rectangular, measuring 75′ long, with 900 square feet of interior space and a 250 square feet terrace: The Floating House is moored on the shores of the island the Impressionist painters made famous in Chatou, outside of Paris. The brothers Bouroullec ( Ronan and Erwan) designed the project in conjunction with two acclaimed naval architects, Denis Daversin and Jean-Marie Finot.
The structure is a platform with pure, simple lines: a parallelepiped with an aluminum skin enveloped by a wooden trellis that embraces the flow of the river. The FLoating House serves as a studio for resident artists and authors invited by the National Center For Printed Art. Tranquility and serenity are the key words that define the ambiance in this space, whose walls open to the water as well as a vast landscape (the inspiration for Renoir’s “Luncheon of the Boating Party”) making it the perfect place to meditate or to work.
Since the late 1990’s, designs by the brothers Bouroullec have been acclaimed on the international scene. Their work can be seen at Centre Pompidou in Paris, as well as at MoMA in New York.

Cool Laptop Pillows
I was wearing shorts the other day while doing some work in the house. I had used my macbook laptop for a little over 15 minutes, and my legs were burning up. Wow, these little things we cannot live without really do heat up fast. I guess it’s understandable given they do so much work for us
I did some searching online just to see what was out there (if anything at all) for such issue. And of course, there was. A Laptop pillow called The Log Pillow which is constructed of natural fiber fabrics like hemp canvas and organic cotton. Intelligent Forms Design (iF) offers such wonders
Within the Log Pillow design, buckwheat hulls are used for padding and insulation, protecting you from the strong heat that can develop after using your computer. Also, the Button Pillow with individually sawn buttons offers ventilation for the overheated laptop. You can also use it as a head rest pillow if turned on the other side.

Jewelry Making at Home
Here are some things to consider for all of you that are interested in making your own jewelry at home. First, educate yourself on the area of jewelry making that interests you the most. Plenty of info online and bookstores. If your ideas involve special techniques that are not that clear online or books, then you should take a class and learn from an instructor. Make a list of the materials you will need to use in order to complete your projects. Examples: beads, clasps, wire, pliers, charms etc… and also, make sure there is space in your home to sit down and make your jewelry. Designate a comfortable spot to call your working area/office. Keep in mind the cost associated with jewelry making at home. Those items could become costly. Do you have enough time to dedicate to this hobby? It’s all relative and it depends on how much you want to devote to this or not. You never know, you could become the next David Yurman
I saw this pretty cute necklace the other day and this girl created her own design (the rabbit) and she makes jewelry around the rabbit. The rabbit comes in different colors too. So you can get super creative and make your own designs if you wanted to, instead of buying already made materials from others at the stores.

How to Make a Stylish Gift Bag!
This elegant gift bag just begs for an equally luxurious gift to be tucked inside. What a great way to present champagne, a cashmere scarf or a big box of gourmet chocolates. Follow these steps:
Materials
1 yard crushed red velvet
BagWorks white feather boa trim
1/2 yard lime green cord
Wright’s swirly holiday ribbon trim
narrow maroon trim
Beacon Adhesives’ Fabri-Tac glue
sewing machine
red thread
needle
pins
ruler
scissors
parchment paper
Steps:
1. Print, enlarge and cut out bag template provided in the PDF Template file below the image, above right. Fold velvet in half with right sides together. Pin bag template to velvet and cut out.
2. Baste along top raw edge (1/4-inch seam) of each bag piece. Fold basted edge over and stitch (3/8-inch seam) down.
3. Pin bag pieces right sides together. Stitch together sides and bottom of bag. Turn bag right side out.
4. Cut holiday trim to fit along center front of bag. To stop holiday trim from fraying, glue the narrow maroon trim all around bottom edge of ribbon trim and let dry.
5. Place sheet of parchment paper inside bag. Use small dabs of glue to adhere holiday trim down center front of bag.
6. Cut lime green cord to desired handle length. Sew ends of cord to left and right sides of bag by hand.
